morning, long time no words. hope you’re all well. All three of you followers. Few things booked for the coming month so twould be lovely to see you. Things are tickety my end. The first twenty something days of river life have been hectic/stressful/torturous/relaxing and fun. We’re still together, new ropes (fluorescent/lime green ropes that were only 35pence a metre from Sylvester’s Hardware store on Hurst St/Magdalen Road corner. The best and oldest shop in the world. Like a scene out of TeenWolf. Rachel’s not keen on the colour of ropes. Off to a chandlery soon. Boat mechanic man Giles is coming on Monday to fit an alternator and vents for the engine room and a new stop chord spring. I knew you’d be interested. I didn’t have any toast this morning. Ce soir je suis compering a night of four fantastic bands/music collectives: Minor Coles, Alphabet Backwards, Tamara Parsons-Baker and Ute. The venue is a fine pub – The isis Tavern, just off the tow path, about three moorings and thirty swans down from my house. Convenient. Wear your wellies, the food, ciders and ales are organic, fresh and local. Even the bar staff are free-range. I’d quite like a small wood axe for Christmas if you were wondering.

Yours sincerely,
Captain Chop
